Winter...it seems to have arrived

Things are busy at the Fisher house as usual.  Avery and Camdyn have both adjusted very well to their new daycare/preschool.  They enjoy going most days and have been learning so very much.  Brian is as busy as ever...he keeps claiming that things will slow down eventually but I'm not convinced:)  School is busy for me too.  The year is flying by and I find myself wondering how we are already in the 2nd quarter of school.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner.  My girls are at such fun ages for this time of year.  We will spend Thanksgiving in Minneapolis celebrating the baptisms of our new nephews Parker and Gavin.  We are so excited to spend time with them and of course to see other family too:)  The girls' Christmas lists are already sent out and I can say without a doubt that I truly have some "girly" girls.  Everything is about princesses this year and has been for some time.  I have to admit, I simply love it!

Avery is a sponge these days.  I can hardly believe that I will soon have a 5 year old and that next year she will start Kinder.  She has grown into such a delightful young lady.  In fact, yesterday she told me about a situation with another girl pulling her hair.  When I inquired what she did she responded "I told her please stop" and "that hurts my feelings"  When I asked her how she chose that and not to hit she said well I thought about you momma...I said what do you mean?  She said well you are always telling me to say Please stop.  Wow I was speechless...you mean she actually did what I advised?  At that moment it was reiterated  - I have a great kiddo!

Camdyn is growing up too.  She is all about her big sister.  She wants to do everything she does and has gotten quite independent.  She is still my sensitive girl but the things she can articulate and do amaze me all the time.  Every morning she gets up and comes into my room with the same greeting... "I wake up momma"...melts my heart.  How have I been blessed not once but twice with such sweet girls?

As I reflect back on what I am thankful for this year...I find myself with a cliché answer... FAMILY.
I truly am thankful for my husband, my children, my parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers, and many friends.  I can't help but also reflect on being thankful for my warm house, my good health, and my fantastic job.  I truly am BLESSED...each and everyday.

What are you thankful for?
